The setting of our dog-friendly, self-catering holiday cottages in Looe, South Cornwall is a delight – Surrounded by open farmland and facing South West over a wooded valley (sunsets are wonderful from here) The fishing villages of Looe, Polperro and Fowey are between three and six miles away.

Fox Valley Cottages at Lanlawren (Cornish for valley of the foxes) is ideal for a holiday in Cornwall – be it lazing on the quiet sandy beaches, strolling around the picturesque fishing ports – trekking along the coastal footpaths, relaxing on horseback, swinging a golf club, catching your own supper, getting off-road on a bicycle or simply enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside.
It has a magical and charming atmosphere where you can forget all your troubles and worries and refresh yourselves before returning to the daily grind of life.

There are lots of dog friendly pubs, restaurants and cafes locally including The Jubilee in Pelynt, The Crumplehorn at the top of the hill in Polperro, and The Old Ferry Inn Bodinnick which are the 3 closest in proximity to our self-catering holiday cottages near Looe.
Beaches
There are a great many beautiful beaches locally, a few of the closest are as follows-
Talland Bay in Looe - This dog friendly beach has an astonishing array of naturally pink and blue coloured rocks.
Lansallos Cove, Lantivit Bay & Lantic Bay are all dog friendly beaches, Lantic Bay has recently been voted one of the top ten secret beaches in Cornwall. The car parks are a few minutes drive from us and each beach is a walk of differing lengths and difficulties. The walk to Lansallos Cove has various activity points for the children.

East Looe beach is a large sandy beach, no dogs allowed. It is a long favourite with holidaymakers due to it being a perfect location for swimming and providing easy access for the little ones.
Hannifore beach is very rocky and great for rock pooling, dogs are welcome.
